The Seychelles Commercial Bank formerly known as the Seychelles Savings Bank has been in existence since 1981. The Bank initially conducted select business activities under a special act, the Seychelles Savings Bank Act. In 1992, the Bank was incorporated as a company, Seychelles Savings Bank Limited, and obtained a license to conduct domestic commercial banking business in 1997. In February 2012, the Bank changed its name from Seychelles Savings Bank Limited to Seychelles Commercial Bank Limited (SCB) to reflect its prevailing business model and commercial banking activities. The Bank is owned by the Government of Seychelles ( 60%) and account holders (40%).

SCB offers a variety of commercial banking activities to both individuals and businesses.  It has 6 branches and 12 ATMs across Mahe, Praslin, and La Digue.
